About

Shepherd's Hill Psychology

Elizabeth is a Clinical Psychologist and board-approved supervisor with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Based in South Australia, she has worked in a variety of settings throughout her career, including private practice, inpatient and community mental health settings.

 

Elizabeth is focused on creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and comfortable. She is experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches, with a particular interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Exposure Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Schema Therapy. She is focused on providing an empathic space from which you can gain understanding and feel more empowered and resilient.

Clients

We work with adults (18+) presenting with anxiety, specific phobias, depression, pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), trauma and stressor-related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), emotion regulation issues, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, interpersonal and relationship issues, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Therapeutic Approach

Treatment may incorporate elements from the following evidence-based treatments: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Based Techniques, and Schema Therapy.

Personalised Support

We offer a range of evidence-based psychological therapies and will provide personalised psychological support designed to address your particular therapeutic goals and needs. We will work in close collaboration with you to achieve this in your first session.

Please note: Elizabeth’s expertise does not extend to working with eating disorders, substance use/abuse, acute suicidality and domestic violence, as these presentations require more specialised services.
